Nina Haiman is a program manager in the Clean Transportation group at the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA). In this capacity she is involved with multiple programs to clean the transportation sector via both VMT reduction and vehicle electrification. She manages the implementation of the State’s Clean Transportation Prize and Clean Mobility Program, both of which focus on expanding transportation options across the state and helping reduce reliance on personal vehicles, including through the use of micromobility. In addition, Nina is heavily involved in school bus electrification at NYSERDA.
Nina previously worked at NYC Department of Transportation in a variety of roles, including as the Director of School Safety and Deputy Manhattan Borough Commissioner. She has a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from Rutgers University.
