Senior Environmental Systems Analyst
Lauren Smalls-Mantey is a Senior Environmental Systems Analyst with the New York City Health Department. With more than a decade of experience in the public and private sector, Lauren has explored the connectedness of climate, health, equity and policy. Previously, as part of NYC Parks, she served as the Urban Heat Resilience Project Manager for the Cool Neighborhoods Initiative. Lauren holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maryland Baltimore County as well as an M.S. in Environmental Science and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering, with a focus on Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation and Water Resources, from Drexel University.
