
Korin Tangtrakul is the Senior Manager for Place-based Initiatives in the City of Philadelphia’s Office of Sustainability where she coordinates a whole-of-government approach to addressing climate risks and co-creates climate resilience strategies with environmental justice communities. Prior to working for the City of Philadelphia, Korin was the Sustainability Manager for the Sustainable Water Resource Engineering Lab at Drexel University where she developed partnerships to further community-engaged climate adaptation research. Korin spent a few years in NYC for grad school where she worked with several water-based organizations like Guardians of Flushing Bay and Newtown Creek Alliance to understand water pollution sources and opportunities for green infrastructure. Korin received an MS in Urban Environmental Systems Management from Pratt Institute and BA in Environmental Studies and Geography & Urban Studies from Temple University.
