Bicis del Pueblo Coordinator
Jessie Fernandez was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles. While at San Francisco State University he studied Ethnic Studies and Urban Studies and Planning. He has organized on issues ranging from educational equity, immigrant and workers rights, and equitable development through inclusive community planning. At PODER, he focuses on advancing environmental justice by offering low-income immigrants and BIPOC youth and families with the knowledge, tools and resources to incorporate bicycling into their everyday lives.
