Feniosky Peña-Mora is currently the Dean of Engineering and Science at Tec of Monterrey, Mexico, and he is also the President-Elect of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Prior to these roles, he held the prestigious position of Edwin Howard Armstrong Professor of Civil Engineering at Columbia University, where he concurrently served as the Director of the Center for Buildings, Infrastructure, and Public Space.

Between 2014 and 2017, Feniosky assumed the crucial role of Commissioner at the New York City Department of Design and Construction (DDC). He also distinguished himself as the Dean of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Columbia University. Before his tenure at Columbia, he held the positions of Associate Provost and the Edward William and Jane Marr Gutgsell Endowed Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Prior to his academic roles, Feniosky was the Gilbert W. Winslow Career Development Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He has a substantial academic record, having authored over 230 scholarly publications and holding six patents. His contributions have earned him recognition as a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Buildings (CIOB), and he is an elected member of both the Dominican Republic Academy of Sciences and the United States National Academy of Construction.

Feniosky completed his undergraduate education with a Bachelor of Science degree from the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henríquez Ureña (UNPHU). He furthered his academic journey by earning Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Science (Sc.D.) degrees in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1991 and 1994, respectivel
