
Chris Pangilinan is currently the Chief of Operations Planning at New York City Transit. In this role, Chris leads a team of over 200 transportation professionals responsible for planning and scheduling the city's bus and subway systems. In May, Chris will become the acting Senior Vice President for Buses, overseeing the largest bus system in North America. Prior to this, Chris held the position of Vice President for Paratransit. Chris firmly believes in improving public transportation to enable people, especially those with disabilities, to live their fullest lives, and has dedicated his 20-year career towards this mission.
Before returning to the MTA, Chris was the Head of Global Policy for Public Transportation and Accessibility at Uber and has held various roles in non-profit advocacy, local government, and the US Department of Transportation.
Originally from Oregon, Chris received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Portland State University, and his M.S. in Transportation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
