Brooklyn born and raised, cycling advocate and avid biker of 26 years. Has lead, hosted or collaborated on over 100+ community bike rides. Creating partnerships amongst DOE, DOT and DOHMH. Community organizer, outreach and engagement specialists. Hosted first DOTs Bike the Block (BTB) in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Current projects focused around health and wellness through physical activity and nutrition. Assisting DOE schools with recreating wellness policies/councils in Brownsville and ENY. Recreating outdoor public learning spaces to navigate better utilization for physical activity. Volunteer with Bergenbikebus start up. Brownsvillebikebus pilot starting in May, partnered with Street Labs, for open streets/ safer school routes in East Brooklyn. Prior to this position Kane was the Administrative Manager for the 2020 Census Bureau.
