Dana Mecomber has spent her entire career focused on environmental protection and sustainability in the New York metropolitan region. In 2023 she began a new role as Director of Climate Sustainability Planning for the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Construction and Development agency, where she is responsible for building and managing an agenda for climate sustainability within the MTA’s capital program, including the development of the multi-billion dollar 5-year Capital Plan. Prior to joining the MTA, Dana worked in the Port Authority of NY & NJ’s Office of Sustainability, where she led strategy to reduce carbon emissions from the Agency’s many tenants, stakeholders, and customers across the aviation, maritime, and on-road transportation sectors.
