Kimberly Lesay is the Bureau Chief of Policy & Planning at the Connecticut Department of Transportation.
Kimberly began her career in Environmental Planning and has over 28 years in the Transportation industry. Much of her career has been dedicated to public sector service, and in 2021 she was awarded CT Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) Woman of the Year. Overseeing a variety of responsibilities at Connecticut DOT, her teams include the Highway Safety Office, and newly formed and dedicated Sustainability and Resilience, Public Involvement and Active Transportation Units.
Kimberly is striving to break down silos and propel Connecticut DOT forward in their mission to provide for increased safety, sustainability, accessibility and mobility of people, and enhanced modal integration of the transportation system.
