Anthony Ng is the Deputy Chief of Staff at the NYC Department of Youth and Community Development. DYCD's mission is to alleviate the effects of poverty and provide New Yorkers with opportunities to flourish, by contracting with provider organizations to offer high quality programs in several areas – afterschool, youth employment, community centers, runaway and homeless programs, anti-poverty programs and neighborhood safety. DYCD funded programs reach New Yorkers at hundreds of program sites across the 5 boroughs. Anthony's non-profit, government, and civic experience has focused on community engagement, to ensure that community members can participate in projects, programs, and public policy decisions that can improve their lives. His broad and varied experience has focused on the effective delivery of human services, grassroots advocacy campaigns that involve young people, public plazas, open space, energy efficient buildings, affordable housing development, and community planning.
