About

Join 400 leaders in transportation and urban planning for the New York City Department of Transportation's (NYC DOT) annual Equity in Motion Summit. Participants exchange best practices, gain new resources, and establish lasting partnerships to advance equity in internal operations, planning, and service delivery. The convening is invite-only and free of cost.

The 2nd annual Equity in Motion Summit will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025.

Session I: Ideate (to conceptualize)

Guiding Questions: 

  • How do we normalize equity systemically and institutionally?
  • How do we envision equitable practices where they do not exist presently?

StreetTalks

Participate in StreetTalks on Thursday, April 24th, for specially curated tours that will explore NYC DOT's transformative and innovative projects. A variety of tours ranging in topic will be offered throughout the day and all will be guided by NYC DOT practitioners. Stay tuned for more information!

Car-Free Earth Day

Following the Summit, participate in NYC DOT's annual Car-Free Earth Day on Saturday, April 26th, featuring car-free streets, performances, workshops, and fitness classes across all five boroughs. The event is open to the public and offers free programming to promote environmental protection, climate change education, and sustainable transportation.
